Vice President, WB-Koester Construction, LLC
Rick is responsible for the management and oversight of the WB-Koester Construction Team. Rick is a Professional Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Evansville. Rick joined the WBK Team in 1990 and has played a key role in WBK’s largest projects. Rick has managed multimillion dollar projects for American Electric Power, Duke Energy, NIPSCO, Big Rivers Electric Corporation, Chicago Bridge & Iron, AES/Indianapolis Power & Light, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, and AK Steel. Rick was promoted to Vice President following the retirement of Gregory Head.
President & CEO, Weddle Bros. Construction Co., Inc.
Lee is head of all Weddle Brothers Companies. Lee is a 1978 graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and has been with Weddle Brothers Construction since 1981. He has served as President and CEO since 1997.
Brian serves as the Corporate Safety Director for all of the Weddle Brothers Companies. Brian is a graduate of Murray State University with a degree in Occupational Safety and Health. Prior to joining Weddle Brothers in 2015, Brian served as the Corporate Safety Director for Sterling Boiler and Mechanical for 5 years. Brian is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Sr. Project Manager & Estimator
Bob splits his time between Project Management and Estimating. Bob is a Civil Engineer and graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Bob has recently managed projects for ALCOA, Brampton Brick, Ameren, Duke Energy, Electric Energy Inc., Hoosier Energy, Meijer, Vectren, St. Mary’s Health System, Valero, and the Evansville Regional Airport Authority. Bob joined the WBK team in 1992.
Garrett is the Senior Estimator and also manages the GPS 3-D modeling, layout, and machine control operations. He coordinates all of the takeoff, estimating, and data transfer efforts. Garrett has worked at several reputable and well known construction firms across the US. He has over 17 years of experience in the construction industry with the last 12 years specifically focused on estimating and managing heavy civil construction projects. Garrett attended Vincennes University with a focus in Science & Mathematics. He also attended Ball State University for 3 years with a focus in Architecture and Planning. Garrett joined the WBK Team in 2014.
Project Manager & Estimator
Mark serves as a Project Estimator and Project Manger at WBK. He is a graduate of the College of Technology at Purdue University, with a B.S. Degree in Building Construction Management. Prior to WBK, Mark was employed by Summit Contracting, LLC. He has hands-on experience in multiple facets of civil and environmental engineering, as well as commercial and residential construction. Mark joined the WBK team in 2016.
Project Engineer and Project Manager
Steve fills dual roles as a Project Engineer and Project Manager. Since he joined the WBK Teamin 2008 he has served as a Project Engineer for construction projects at Prairie State Energy, Duke Energy, IP&L , and the Evansville Regional Airport Authority. He also has served as Project Manager for the Casey’s General Store Distribution Center, NIPSCO, ALCOA, and ATS. Steve graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction & Management.
Manager of Business Development
Laura oversees all of the Business Development and Sales efforts for WBK. She has over 20 years B2B marketing and sales experience throughout the tri-state area with 10 years focused specifically in construction marketing. Laura is tasked with developing new leads, staying in touch with existing clients, and building the WBK Brand throughout the Midwest. Laura is a graduate of Purdue University and joined the WBK team in 2015.
Brad coordinates all AutoCAD Civil 3-D DrawingTake-offs and builds all GPS Total Machine Control Models for the WBK fleet of dozers and graders. Brad was employed at The Lochmueller Group for 16 years, as their Private Development Designer, prior to joining the WBK Team in 2014. Brad has an Associate Degree in Science Technology from Vincennes University.
General Field Superintendent
Mike coordinates all of the daily field supervision which can include multiple projects at the same time. Mike has a wealth of experience keeping projects with a tight schedule on track and in budget. He has been a part of the WBK Team since 1978. Mike began as a Project Foreman and worked his way up to the General Field Superintendent, a position he has held for the last 12 years. Mike is responsible for managing all WBK field personnel.
Doug manages all of the WBK repair technicians, both in the shop and in the field. He also is responsible for a fleet of construction equipment that includes over 200 pieces of machinery. Doug has been in the equipment maintenance field all of his working career. Prior to joining WBK in 2007 Doug had worked for Old Ben Coal, Mining Machinery Inc., and Brandeis Machinery.
Cindy oversees all of the WBK daily office operations related to payroll, payables and receivables. Cindy multi-tasks as Vice President-Rick Niehaus’s Executive Assistant, lead administrator on preparation of bid documents, and also supports Project Management. Cindy has been a member of the WBK Team since 2005.
